The Great Hunny Rescue gives Disney Lorcana fans a reason to sit on the same side of the adventure. Piglet is trapped in the Vine, and you can head in alone or team up with a friend to rescue him. The cooperative box arrives on October 2, 2026, with two ready-made player decks included.

Pooh has become a wizard, Tigger has a hammer, and the garden has developed an attitude. That is enough of a game-night invitation for us.

How does a cooperative Lorcana adventure work?

Lorcana is Disney’s trading card game, and its versions of familiar characters are called glimmers. They can take on new roles, which explains why Pooh is dressed for spellcasting and Kanga has brought a musical instrument. You do not need to know their earlier cards to enjoy these versions.

In this Illumineer’s Quest adventure, you work against the Vine scenario. Encounter cards mark the rooms and obstacles along the way. Gathering enough lore—the game’s points—lets you rescue an ensnared friend and move forward. Saving Piglet is part of a larger trip toward the source of the Vine’s power.

That shared objective changes the conversation around the table. You can talk about the next obstacle and help each other think through a turn. For a collector who wants to start playing with a partner, having a common problem to solve gives both people something to cheer for.

Pooh and friends have dressed for the occasion

Winnie the Pooh — Hunny Archmage is our first stop for the artwork. He holds a glowing trail of hunny beneath a pointed hat, with his familiar red shirt worked into the wizard outfit. The card rewards having other Hunny characters together, so the theme reaches beyond the costume.

Tigger — Hunny Barbarian swings through the vines with a hunny-covered hammer, while Kanga — Hunny Bard plays beside a glowing fire. They make a small themed group for a Pooh binder even if your collecting plan has never involved learning a deck list. Somewhere in the Hundred Acre Wood, somebody has misplaced the dress code.

The rescue team also reaches outside Pooh’s stories. Violet Parr — Super Resilient curls a purple force field around herself, and Boo — Energetic Child runs into the scene with the enthusiasm of someone who has never read a warning sign. Put their art side by side and you get two very different approaches to danger.

The Vine has recruited a few familiar faces

Pete and Cruella de Vil appear as versions made by the Vine. Pete’s body is covered in plant growth, while Cruella’s hair and coat become curling green tendrils. The artwork lets you recognize the characters while seeing what the adventure has done to them.

Those enemy cards serve the scenario, so keep them with its materials when sorting the box. If you are building a display page, label that group separately from your player-deck cards. It is easier to admire Cruella’s new outfit when she has not accidentally wandered into your next ordinary game.

What do you need to buy to play?

The box supplies two 60-card player decks, a 50-card Vine scenario deck, ten Tendril cards and six Encounter cards. It also includes the game board, rules, tokens and two prize packs containing two cards each. You can start with the included player decks rather than chasing cards in boosters first.

Our pick is to buy this for the shared adventure, then decide whether you want to change the decks after trying them. If your October priority is opening random packs and hunting special artwork, Hyperia City gives you a separate collection to consider. For this game night, the goal is getting Piglet home before the snacks disappear.
