When can you open Reality Fracture?
Prerelease events at local stores, from 25 September to 1 October, are the first chance most collectors will have to hold the paper cards, and the set reaches stores on 2 October, as listed on the FoilFox buyer’s guide. A listing that calls the English paper set “out now” before prerelease weekend is selling something else.
Arena preorder bundles are already in the MTG Arena store and unlock on launch day. They are digital, so buying one does not put any cardboard in your binder.
How to tell the two halves of a pair apart
Reality Fracture’s collecting hook is the Echoverse pair: one card from the Multiverse players know and one from Jace’s rebuilt reality, often the same character living two lives. Chandra, Torch of Defiance and Chandra, Chill of Compliance are two separate cards, and so are Liliana the Faultless and Liliana the Repentant. Wizards’ own Arena bundles list both Chandras and both Lilianas as separate items, so a collection that records either pair as one card is wrong.
Play Boosters, Collector Boosters and the four-color Jace Commander deck are different products with different versions of cards. A Commander-only card is not the same as the Play Booster rare, and serialized and Special Guests cards are separate versions whenever they appear. The three-letter code printed on the card tells you which one you have.
